We have found that street art is a commonality across European cities and is celebrated more here than in the US. In the US, street art is many times regarded as graffiti and has a negative connotation. In both pictures, the art makes people stop and take in their environment. Street art is different than going to a museum because many times we do not plan on seeing these murals, rather we literally run into them. Street art can both grand and expansive or it can be hidden and detailed. These pictures also made us reflect on if there is a clear difference between street art and graffiti and who decides these style distinctions.
