After traveling to the Galapagos, Jonah found that tourism in this area was focused primarily on seeing the animals in the region. We decided to focus on animals for this post, as we had both recently taken pictures of animals. At the Copenhagen zoo, there is a focus on trusting the individual people who enter this zoo that they won’t disrupt or harm the animals. Because of this, it’s possible to get much closer to the zoo animals than one would in an American zoo. There, I was able to sit next to kangaroos and stand feet away from bears. Jonah shared a lot of the same findings in the Galapagos, as he was also able to get very close to animals there which was something he hadn’t experienced before either.
