Group 14: Nature

Mayan ruins in Uxmal, Mexico.

Ochre deposits in Rousillon, France.

West Highlands, Scotland.

For this post we decided to share pictures of the vastly different landscapes in our study abroad regions. Not only do these images convey different landforms and vegetation, but they also expose the difference in weather and climate in each region. The bright blue skies in the pictures from Mexico and France starkly contrast the grey, cloudy, and misty hills in the picture from Scotland. Each of these images captures an essence of biophilia, an innate connection with living organisms and the outdoors. There is a shared sense of wonder and adventure that draws the viewer in and hopefully encourages others to explore as much of our beautiful planet as possible.
