No matter where we go, home is where we make it. From Chiba, Japan to Dublin, Ireland we are both American students miles away from anything familiar. Yet, we have made it and have fallen in love with our new homes. 

Tight, Cozy Streets in Chiba

The streets of Chiba are squeaky clean, instead of garbage the street is decorated with plants, and even the gutters are sprouting little shrubs! I always loved the harmony of nature and humanity back home and took a picture that reminded me of the tree and telephone poles back in Chicago parks.

A Warm Wildcats’ Welcome in Dublin

Dublin is awesome! Everyone is friendly and very eager to talk to us Americans, in fact, we brought up that we were Northwestern students and everyone was pretty excited. I even got to take this picture of a huge Wildcats banner and immediately felt like I was home, even when I was across an ocean away.
