These pictures were taken across three different countries, three different continents- in Morocco, Italy, and The United States. The most striking aspect to me is the sheer size of the buildings- they look colossal. enormous. gigantic. This perspective is aided by the people in all three images dwarfed by the building photographed. One can compare the human being’s size to that of the buildings, and have their mind blown all over again absorbing how massive these monuments are. The people in the images are important because they also remind us it was human’s minds who designed these places, human hands who built it and most relevant to the present, it is humans now who have to take care of and preserve these structures. All across the world are rich cultural heritage sites, monuments to history and marvels of design and architecture. It is up to us to protect and learn from these places to generate new ideas for the future.
