The instructor will introduce basic population terminology and then a NetLogo model of a human population. Students will work through a series of investigations leading them to study how demographic parameters influence population dynamics. Students will use the World Factbook to make claims and inferences about types of countries and propose solutions to rapid or negative population growth.
