“Are the Stars Dying? Exoplanet Facebook Project” by Sam Hadden and Katie Page

Edited by Adam Taylor

Students will learn about exoplanets and how they are discovered by looking at starlight data. They will research assigned Kepler exoplanets. Students will present their learnings about the exoplanet through the creation of a mock Facebook page for the planet. They will use computational models to demonstrate the physical size and scale of the planet-star system and model observations of the planet transiting its host star.
