Medical Device Design

We have heard from families that the medical devices and equipment for their child does not always work well for them at home. We think we can do better!

Our work has two goals:

1) to identify ways we might improve the design of existing medical devices, equipment, and supplies used for children at home and

2) to learn from parents and caregiver what their priorities are for creating new products to use at home to help their children’s medical and functional needs.

Your participation in our study would consist of a one-hour one-on-one interview or focus group (your choice) about your experiences using medical products with your child at home. Each session will be led by a Lurie Children’s researcher over the phone or online over Zoom. If you take part in this study, you will be paid a $50 gift card for your participation.
