PROACTIVE Parent

Providing Access to Innovative & Evidence-Based Treatment (PROACTIVE) Parent Program aims to assess the efficacy of a new service delivery model (PROACTIVE Parent Model) to facilitate access to mental health services and equip foster parents with the skills necessary to promote their child’s well-being. In particular, we aim to use this innovative model to serve parents of child victims of abuse aged 8 to 17 years.

ASTHMA HOME INTERVENTION

The purpose of this project is understand the health impact of a DCFS community health based intervention on children living with asthma. This intervention aims to improve asthma knowledge amongst foster parents and their youths, identify and address asthma triggers in the youth’s home, and reduce barriers to care.

Specialized Foster care needs assessment 

To evaluate the current specialized foster care program and to better understand the unmet needs of foster families, we will be conducting a needs assessment. The aim of this project is to determine whether youth in specialized foster care are receiving services listed in their treatment plans and what areas can be improved for care.
