Biography
Jon Ziomek is an associate professor emeritus at Northwestern’s Medill School, where he taught reporting classes for more than 25 years and also served as assistant dean in charge of the master’s degree program. A former Chicago Sun-Times reporter, he is the author of “Collision on Tenerife” (Post Hill Press, 2018), a nonfiction history book about the 1977 Canary Islands aviation disaster. He continues to freelance, and volunteers for several organizations including Travelers Aid at O’Hare International Airport.
