John Ward

Biography

I graduated from NU in 1967, attended Stanford Business School for graduate degrees and taught at Loyola University from 1969 to 1999. I was Clinical Professor of Family Enterprises at NU’s Kellogg School of Management from 1999 to 2019. I was also the founding director of our Center for Family Enterprises where we developed programs and courses for MBA students and also for Executive Education. Through the years I have been an active consultant and have served on several boards of directors of family enterprises. Research and writing have been fulfilling for me. My wife, Gail, and I and our two children were active in Evanston schools and sports for 25 years. We now live in downtown Chicago. Gail, a life long educator with the Chicago Public Schools, now serves on the Chicago Board of Education. We love living in Chicago/Evanston and have loved extensive travel.
