David L. Nelson

Biography

 

David Nelson loves skiing, golf, cooking, his family, his pets, his students. Though retired in 2012 from full-time teaching (after 40 years) at Northwestern University, he remains active as an instructor in NU’s School of Professional Studies. Before NU he worked as an executive with The Miami Herald and Time Inc. He married Michele Bitoun, former assistant dean of the Medill School of Journalism. They now live in Michigan with a beautiful view of the Lake Michigan shoreline and fantastic sunsets most nights of the year. Their children and grandkids live in Colorado, Chicago and Florida.
