I am broadly interested in the physical biology of intracellular organization and mechanics. Slightly less broadly, I would like to understand cell nuclear organization. How does the polymeric genome dynamically maintain its spatial structure? What role does the genome play in cell and nuclear mechanics? What impact do mechanical forces have on genome architecture? What other mechanisms lead to the nonequilibrium self-organization that we observe?
