The group will be accepting at least one graduate student in the fall of 2025 in water systems, hydrogen systems, mineral supply chain, or plastics as project needs dictate.

• We hold a meeting with potential undergraduate researchers once per quarter to review available projects.
• For the 24-25 academic year, we are especially seeking undergraduates who are interested in helping us construct a detailed database of the environmental effects of mining for the minerals that are required in lithium ion batteries, solar panels, and wind turbines.  We have active collaborations with Chilean and Australian collaborators in this area.  Students participating in this research will be encouraged to apply for a circumnavigator’s grant if they are juniors: https://undergradresearch.northwestern.edu/funding/circumnavigator-grant/
