the DATA SCIENCE in
the SOCIAL SCIENCES program

WELCOME

Northwestern University’s DATA SCIENCE INITIATIVE announces the Data Science in the Social Sciences program. The program encourages the use of data science and computational methodologies in the social sciences at Northwestern.

To accomplish this goal, the program will be funding Data Science Development Grants for faculty-led projects. The grants will fund a graduate student research assistant for one to two quarters. In addition to research grants, there will be a graduate student training program, the Computing Essentials for Social Scientists training program, focused on the learning the essentials of computational research. No minimal skills or knowledge required. Learn more about either of these programs by clicking on the tiles below.
