Emily Kabeshita
Emily is a second-year graduate student at Northwestern University working toward her M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently a Research Assistant in Dr. Darren Moore’s lab at The Family Institute at Northwestern, where she has had the opportunity to research issues related to the intersection of masculinity, race, and higher education. Her clinical training and interests include helping individuals, couples, and families explore issues around self-identity and self-empowerment, improve communication across generational and cultural differences, and work through challenges including anxiety, depression, and trauma from a lens of cultural humility and curiosity.
