On August 2, 2024, Alex defended his PhD thesis, “The Synthesis and Emergent Properties of Crystalline and Mechanically Interlocked Polymer Architectures.” The thesis delved into fundamental and application studies of 2DPs/COFs and polycatenanes, demonstrating how synthetic chemistry can modify the structure and properties of each class of materials.
