William Dichtel has been awarded a 2018 Guggenheim Fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. Will joins an exceptional group of 173 scholars, artists and scientists. Selected from a group of nearly 3,000 applicants, Will is one of just two chemists being honored by the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation.
Established in 1925 by former United States Senator and Mrs. Simon Guggenheim, in memory of seventeen-year-old John Simon Guggenheim, the fellowships are intended for individuals who have already demonstrated exceptional capacity for productive scholarship or exceptional creative ability in the arts.
