My name is Martha Santiago, and I’m an undergraduate student studying Environmental Science and Political Science. I am from Evanston, IL.
Last summer, I participated in the STORM REU at UW-Madison. There, I worked on a project about the internal variability of the Arctic Ocean. Using model output, I analyzed six different variables and the relationships between variables to understand the big-picture changes in the Arctic Ocean over time.
I currently work in the Climate Change Research Group, advised by Professor Daniel Horton and graduate student Victoria Lang. The goal of my research is to investigate how changes in emissions scenarios alter the concentrations of different pollutants. I will also be examining the health and justice impacts that arise from changes in air quality.
