Associate Professor of Medicine (Infectious Diseases) and Preventive Medicine. He has expertise on a variety of global public health crises such as Ebola and Zika outbreaks. He is currently participating in several research projects and training programs through the Institute for Global Health, including PEPFAR Nigeria, NU AITRP and the Eramune study. His ongoing research projects include cancer among persons with HIV in the U.S. and sub-Saharan Africa, outcomes of TB-HIV co-infection in Nigeria, paradoxical immune reconstitution inflammatory syndromes and second-line treatment of HIV in Nigeria.
