How do people get so smart? How does the human mind make sense of the world? How does language change over time and convey rich, complex meaning?
Research at the Northwestern Cognition and Language Lab uses computational modeling and behavioral experiments to investigate the answer these questions. Our work focuses on how analogy and similarity undergird the richness and depth of human cognition.
The lab’s principal investigator Dr. Dedre Gentner is currently recruiting adults, especially undergraduates, for participants in these studies on cognition. To sign up or to receive more information, please call 847-467-1360 or email cognitiveresearch@gmail.com.
