Research Meetings

An important feature of the CMBD program is a monthly meeting of current trainees for the purpose of presenting and discussing ongoing research. These informal Research in Progress meetings occur on the third Thursday of each month during the academic year. The meetings alternate between the Evanston and Chicago campuses, so they provide an opportunity for students from one campus to visit the other. At each Research in Progress meeting, two or three CMBD trainees present their recent research in a forum that provides them with critical feedback and sparks discussion that often leads to ideas for new approaches and collaborations. Research in Progress meetings are an excellent opportunity to hone presentation skills, receive valuable input, and facilitate collaborations.
