Guidelines

  • Format: Each 60 min roundtable will be focused on a pre-arranged topic that will be published on I.AIM and Fellowship websites.  Usually, 5-10 minutes will be allotted for a contemporary topic presentation (journal club, news articles of interest, or project in-progress) followed by 20-30 minutes of didactic presentation.  Interactive presentations are encouraged.  Expected presentation time should be no more than 40-45 minutes.  The remaining time will be reserved for open discussion and questions.
  • Presenters: Presentations will be organized in advance by the Clinical Informatics Fellow with assistance of faculty from I.AIM and the Northwestern Clinical Informatics Fellowship.  Up to 50% of presentations may be presented by Clinical informatics fellows, but any member may volunteer to present on topics.  Trainees are encouraged to present, and faculty and guest speakers with expertise are welcome.
  • Pre-Presentation Review: All presenters will identify the Clinical Informatics curriculum topics that correspond to the topic being presented.  Trainee presenters are strongly encouraged to review the format and content of the presentation in advance with a topic-related mentor or clinical informatics faculty.  Faculty presenters will also be asked to review the format for the presentation.  This review will focus on ensuring that the current journal club, news articles, or project-in-progress is focused, and the scope of didactics are appropriately covered.  The CI Program Coordinator will assist with scheduling of topics and pre-presentation reviews.

Coming soon
