Fatima Khan, Postdoctoral Fellow
Fatima earned her PhD from Kyungpook National University (South Korea) in 2021. Her graduate work focused on identification of novel CD44v6-binding peptides that inhibit tumor growth and metastasis (Khan et al., Theranostics 2021).
Lizhi Pang, Postdoctoral Fellow
Lizhi earned his PhD from North Dakota State University (SD, USA) in 2021. He focused on developing cancer treatment by redirecting COX-2 catalyzed polyunsaturated fatty acid peroxidation (Pang et al., Free Radic Biol Med 2021; Mol Ther Nucleic Acids 2020).
Yang Liu, Postdoctoral Fellow
Yang earned his PhD from Sichuan University (Chengdu, China) in 2022. His PhD study focused on revealing the role and underlying molecular mechanisms of nm23-H1 gene in inhibiting lung cancer metastasis.
Heba Ali, Postdoctoral Fellow
Heba got her PhD degree from Florida International University (FL, USA) in 2021. Before joining us, she was a postdoctoral scholar at UChicago Medicine, where her research focused on brain vasculature and CCM disease.
Fei Zhou, Postdoctoral Fellow
Fei earned his PhD from Beijing University of Chinese medicine (Beijing, China) in 2023. His PhD work was engaged in developing novel antitumor therapies based on autophagy and PD-L1 inhibition (Zhou et al., Adv Healthc Mater 2023).
Songlin Guo, Postbac Fellow
Songlin received her BS degree in General Biology from University of Washington (Seattle, WA, USA) in August 2021. After graduation, she joined the lab as a graduate student and then as a Postbac Research Fellow.
Junyan Wu, Graduate Student
Junyan, a master student from the QSB program, earned his BS degree in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, Ohio) in May, 2022. His undergraduate work focued on E3 ubiquitin ligase in Zika virus replication.
Yuyun Huang, Graduate Student
Yuyun earned her BAgric (Bachelor of Agriculture Science) degree from China Agricultural University (Beijing, China) in June 2022. After graduation, she joined the MBP program at Northwestern University as a graduate student.
Ezra Zimble, Postbac Fellow
Ezra earned his BA degree in English from Princeton University (Princeton, NJ, USA) in May 2022. After graduation, he joined the post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Northwestern University.
Qianyi Pu, Medical Student
Qianyi earned her BS and MS degree from UC San Diego with a research focus on neurodegeneration. Currently, she is a medical student at Rush Medical College with a deep interest in neurosurgery.
