The Northwestern Research Team developed the CHAT-E with hopes that other researchers could apply the tool to their own studies. We encourage your creativity in developing customized survey questions to study your topic of interest. We can also share the CHAT-E survey items and voice recordings for either the College Identity Scale or the Parental Education, Employment, and Income Scale described in detail on the Projects page.
If you decide to create a custom CHAT-E survey, we recommend hiring a voice actor for recording the CHAT-E audio files. There is also a fee involved in the CHAT-E software training.
