I wanted to participate in the CFS program because I wanted to build my business acumen and explore the field of finance. Economics is mostly theoretical, and by working at NextGen Growth Partners I’ve learned how to apply those critical thinking skills to real cases. I learned how to research niche markets, analyze brokerage deals, and pitch my research. It’s definitely an eye-opening experience and I would definitely recommend NextGen to anyone who is interested in potentially starting a search fund in the future.

In addition to working at an internship, there’s also a related CFS class. So far, we’ve cover topics ranging from diversity in the workplace, business culture, and business ethics. All the topics we talk about are extremely relevant and it’s really interesting to hear about what the other students are going through at their internships. Overall, the CFS program is a nice change of pace from taking 4 classes a quarter and a worthwhile experience.
