Fall 2017 Visitors

Matt Masten, Duke University, will visit the Center for Econometrics from September 25 to September 29.  He will give a seminar as part of the Econometrics Seminar Series on September 26.  The title of his talk is “TBA”.  Matt will sit in 3365 during his visit.

 

Denis Chetverikov, UCLA, will visit the Center for Econometrics from October 2 to October 13.  He will give a seminar as part of the Econometrics Seminar Series on October 3.  The title of his talk is “TBA”.  Denis will sit in 3365 during his visit.

 

Simon Lee, Columbia University, will visit the Center for Econometrics from November 6 – 10.  He will give a seminar as part of the Econometrics Seminar Series on November 7.  The title of his talk is “TBA”.  Simon will sit in 3365 during his visit.

October 2015 Visitors

chesher2Andrew Chesher, University College London, will visit the Center for Econometrics from September 30 to October 5.  He will give a seminar as part of the Econometrics Workshop Series on September 30.  The title of his talk is “Identification of the distribution of valuations in an incomplete model of English auctions.”  Andrew will also participate in the Conference on Inverse Problems in Econometrics being held October 2-3. Andrew will sit in 3236 during his visit.


florens_webJean-Pierre Florens, Toulouse School of Economics, will visit the Center for Econometrics October 1-9.  He is a speaker at the Conference on Inverse Problems in Econometrics.  The title of his talk is “Functional linear regression with functional response: unconstrained models.” He will also give a seminar as part of the Econometrics Workshop Series on October 6.  The title of his workshop is “Quantile analysis of hazard-rate game models.” Jean-Pierre will sit in 348 during his visit.

September visitor: Dennis Kristensen

Dennis_Kristensen_05Dennis Kristensen will be visiting the center for econometrics from September 22, 2014 to September 26, 2014. He received his Ph.D. in economics from London School of Economics, and is currently a Reader (Associate Professor) at University College London. Prof. Kristensen’s research focuses on theoretical and applied econometrics, and quantitative finance.

Prof. Kristensen will be giving a seminar as part of the Econometrics Workshop on September 23. The title of his talk is “CCP and the estimation of non-separable dynamic discrete choices”. He will be in AH 3222 during his visit.

May Visitor: Kirill Evdokimov

Kirill Evdokimov will be visiting the Center for Econometrics from May 12, 2014 to May 16, 2014. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Yale University, and is currently an Assistant Professor at Princeton University. Prof. Evdokimov’s research focuses on theoretical econometrics.kirill

Prof. Evdokimov will be giving a seminar as part of the Econometrics Workshop on Tuesday May 13, 3:30PM. The title of his talk is “Diagnostics for Exclusion Restrictions in Instrumental Variables Estimation”. He will be in AH 3222 during his visit.

April Visitor: Sokbae ‘Simon’ Lee

Simon Lee will be visiting the center for econometrics from April 14, 2014 to April 18, 2014. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Iowa, and is currently an Associate Professor at Seoul National University. Prof. Lee’s research focuses on theoretical and applied econometrics. Nega_professor_174

Prof. Lee will be giving a seminar as part of the Econometrics Workshop on April 15. The title of his talk is “Testing for a General Class of Functional Inequalities”. He will be in AH 3222 during his visit.

 

April Visitor: Federico Bugni

Federico A. Bugni will be visiting the center for econometrics from March 31, 2014 to April 4, 2014. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Northwestern University in 2008, and is currently an Associate Professor at Duke University.116909s_bugni_federico_hires

Prof. Bugni’s research interests are in theoretical econometrics, partial identification, inference in moment (in)equality models, missing data, and stochastic processes.

Prof. Bugni will be giving a seminar as part of the Econometrics Workshop on April 1. The title of his talk is “Inference for Functions of Partially Identified Parameters in Moment Inequality Models”. Prof. Bugni will be in AH 3222 during his visit.
