Michael C. Smith

Michael Clark Smith (BA’70, MA’72) majored in sociology at Northwestern University. He also earned a master’s degree from Northwestern in sociology and a doctorate from Marquette University. Smith taught sociology for more than fifty years, retiring from the Wisconsin and Illinois systems of higher education. His lifetime of leadership and community service included local, state, and national organizations. He has two sons, Adam and Aron from his first marriage to Jocklyn Harris, also part of the B100, and a third son, Jason, by his marriage to Marjorie Melton. He has three grandchildren.
