Joanne Williams

Joanne Williams (BS’71) is a producer, director, and writer. Notably, she was the host and segment producer for Milwaukee Public Television’s “Black Nouveau,” which won a regional EMMY in 2018. Additionally, Williams was nominated for a daytime EMMY for her work on the television project “The Disabled Are Able.” With over forty years of experience in television news, she transitioned into an award-winning independent filmmaker. She received a bachelor’s of science in Radio, TV, and Film from Northwestern University’s School of Communication in 1971.
