Eleanor Steele Stewart
Eleanor Steele Stewart, M.D. (BA’69) was an English major at Northwestern University. She later attended the Medill School of Journalism’s graduate program. She worked as a technical writer for Westinghouse Learning Corporation and as an instructor in the English Department at the University of the District of Columbia. She later graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine, earning an M.D. in 1977. She practiced Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine for thirty-five years and retired as an Associate Director of Geriatric Medicine and Services for Providence Hospital in Washington, DC.
