Adegoke Steve Colson
Adegoke Steve Colson (BME’71) a decorated pianist, composer, historian, and educator, Colson performs internationally as a soloist and leader of ensembles ranging from trios to orchestras. He has written over 250 “jazz ensemble” pieces and has been awarded several commissions for large works. He was inducted into The East Orange Hall of Fame, joining fellow hometown artists John Amos, Dionne Warwick, Naughty by Nature, and Whitney Houston. Nominated for a Grammy with his wife, Iqua, Colson continues to work with trailblazers in music, dance, and literature.
