Lonnie S. Radcliffe

Lonnie Steven Radcliffe (BA’70) majored in economics at Northwestern University. He was a member of the newly chartered Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He later earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago in 1974. Lonnie pursued a successful career in commercial banking, reaching the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing at Independence Bank of Chicago. In 1988, he became a Certified Financial Planner and Registered Securities and Investment Advisor, eventually establishing his own television and media sales and management business. Lonnie focused on assisting African American businesses and churches in securing financing for their endeavors, earning recognition as one of four Minority Small Business Advocates of the Year by Illinois Governor George Ryan in 2000. Radcliffe passed away in 2017.
