Path to IND/BLA
Event Description: How does something you discover and test in your lab make its way into a human body? Cour Pharmaceuticals, founded out of Stephen Miller’s lab here at Northwestern University, will come and present on the path of a new drug/biologic into the clinic. This will be an amazing opportunity to learn about potential roles you might occupy along that path!
Logistics: 9/14/22 5PM in Hughes Auditorium, Lurie Biomedical Research Building, Northwestern Chicago Campus

Cour Pharmaceuticals: COUR Pharmaceuticals is developing first-in-class therapies designed to reprogram the immune system to achieve antigen-specific tolerance for immune-mediated disease. COUR’s platform of immune-modifying nanoparticles treats the root cause of immune disease, unlike traditional approaches, which only minimize symptoms using toxic immune suppression. COUR’s lead product for celiac disease, partnered with Takeda, is the first demonstration of induction of antigen-specific immune tolerance in any autoimmune disease. Data from clinical and preclinical settings demonstrate the opportunity for the COUR nanoparticle platform to address a wide range of immune and inflammatory conditions.
AbbVie Industry Career Panel
Are you interested in careers in the pharmaceutical industry outside of bench work? Leaders from Abbvie, a Chicago based pharmaceutical company, will come and present on the path they took to get there. This will be an amazing opportunity to learn about potential roles you might occupy along that path!
Biomedical Innovation Insights with Paragon Biosciences
Event Description: Are you interested in working at a biotech company in the Chicago area (with a focus on neuroscience, metabolism, or cancer) and want to learn about the amazing work Paragon Biosciences is doing in their portfolio companies? Then come join us next week for an evening of networking and fun. This will be an amazing opportunity to learn about potential roles you might occupy along that path! Food will be provided.
