Accommodations for the Conference are arranged through the Hyatt Chicago, Magnificent Mile located at 633 N. St Clair Street, Chicago, Il, 60611, less than a ten minute walk from the Conference’s venue, Northwestern’s Wieboldt Hall.

Rooms are available for Conference attendees at the special rate of $179/night (+ state and local tax, currently 17.9%) for April 9th and 10th.

Reservations should be made by Friday, March 24, 2017.  To do so, reservations can be made online here.  Be sure to follow this link to secure the special pricing.

Please Note: If you do not plan to stay at the hotel both nights, you will need to notify the hotel at or before check in to avoid an early departure fee.


Transportation and Travel

Driving into town?

Not a problem!  We’re getting you an extra special deal on parking with Northwestern, so stay tuned for details on how to get your discounted rate.  But if you’d prefer, The Hyatt has overnight valet parking available for $65/night.

Parking in Chicago is never fun, so if you’re planning to do some exploring while you’re in town, you might want to check out the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority).

Coming from O’Hare?

The most direct and easiest way to get from the airport to the hotel is by car. At approximately 18 miles, the trip is estimated to cost about $50 in a taxi.

The Blue Line train goes directly from the airport into downtown and costs $2.25/trip.

Coming from Midway?

The most direct and easiest way to get from Midway to the Hyatt is by car.  At approximately 13 miles, the trip is estimated to cost about $45 in a taxi.

The Orange Line train goes directly from the airport into downtown and costs $2.25/trip.

Coming from Union Station?

The most direct and easiest way to get from Union Station to the Hyatt is by car.  The trip is estimated to cost about $15 in a taxi.

The 157 bus is the easiest way to get from Union Station to the Hyatt.
