About Me

As a PhD student in the Engineering Sciences and Applied Mathematics department at Northwestern University, I am passionate about using math and computation to understand the mysteries of the brain. My research focus is in computational neuroscience, and I am currently working under the guidance of Professor Hermann Riecke on a project investigating the complex mechanisms of learning in the olfactory system.

Before starting my doctoral studies, I received my undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Michigan, where I first became interested in the intersection of math and neuroscience. During my time as an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to work with Professor Victoria Booth and Dr. Eleni Gourgou on a research project exploring learning and navigation in the nematode C. elegans.
