What Do We Do

Bi-Weekly Meetings

Aviation Club hosts bi-weekly club meetings that focus on a different aviation sector, the aviation industry, and more. Club Exec Board leaders and club members alike are invited to submit ideas for weekly meetings and present their own unique insights on our topic each week. After walking through the topic together, we’ll break out into groups to explore the topic in-depth from different perspectives; each group can explore the topic as they best see fit to learn, connect with other members, and have a great time.

Our weekly meeting time for Spring 2022 is Mondays at 20:00 at Annenberg Room G30.

Special Events

Aviation club is planning a variety of special events for 2022-23. We’re currently looking into a ramp tour at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, have a spotting trip in the works, and hope to invite speakers from around the airline industry.

Speakers from all areas of aviation will be welcomed. From airline pilots and military aviators to NASA personnel to airline executives, CEOs, and management staff and everything in between, we hope to host everyone. We want to hear from as many different views in the aviation sector as possible. Inviting a diverse range of speakers from many aspects of aviation will enable our members to expand their understanding of the industry and have their interests reflected on a regular basis. If you have a speaker in mind for the club, please contact a member of the executive board!

Of course, they are not the boundaries of what we can do as a club. We’ll add more speakers, excursions, events, and opportunities as we build a presence on campus and get a sense of what’s possible.

As we create partnerships and collaborate with other clubs, expand our aviation coverage, and participate in new activities when a club or small groups as opportunities arise, our special events may look slightly different each quarter. Our objective is to provide our members as many opportunities to learn about aviation as possible, so if there’s a new method you believe we can help you learn about it, please let us know.
