President

Nathan Rockafellow

Nathan Rockafellow is a current senior from Minneapolis, MN majoring in mechanical engineering and also pursuing a Kellogg Certificate for Undergraduates in Managerial Analytics and a minor in data science. He is an active member of the aerodynamics sub-team of Northwestern Formula Racing and assists in designing and manufacturing various aerodynamic components of the car. As President of ASME, he is responsible for the overall organization and planing of the club, including club meetings, and heads the exec board. He also serves as the liaison between ASME and various Northwestern offices/departments. Nathan is looking forward to helping new members expand their engineering knowledge and working with the team on an exciting new design challenge this year.

 

Vice President

Gabriela Norwood

Gabriela Norwood is a current sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia majoring in mechanical engineering and theatre. She is a peer adviser for incoming dual degree students and is an active member of Campus Kitchens and theatre on campus. As Vice President for ASME, she helps host networking, community building, and learning events and projects for engineering students. She is excited to host social activities and help students build their technical engineering skills!

 

Social/Outreach Chair

Aaron John

Aaron John is a current junior from Burr Ridge, IL majoring in mechanical engineering and also pursuing a Kellogg Certificate for Undergraduates in Managerial Analytics. He is enjoys playing tennis and flying drones in his free time. As Recruiting Chair for ASME, he helps gather new members for the clubs and plan events. Aaron is excited to get to know all the new members and find new speakers for the events.

 

Secretary

Natalia Yepes

Natalia Yepes is a sophomore from Houston, Texas majoring in mechanical engineering and planning on pursuing the Segal Design Certificate. On campus, she works at the gym as well as the Ford Engineering Design Center as a shop trainer. In her free time she enjoys staying active whether it be going for runs or playing soccer with friends. As the secretary of ASME she is in charge of the club’s organization and communication between members and the executive board. She is looking forward to meeting more engineers and creating community between them.

 

Treasurer

Alex Pyo

Alex Pyo is a sophomore majoring in industrial engineering and management science & statistics. He is planning on earning the Kellogg Certificate. He has a strong passion for the world of Quantitative Trading, and outside of his studies he enjoys going to the gym and swimming. He likes exploring art museums and listening to jazz during his free time. As the Treasurer of ASME, he is in charge of managing the finances of the group and makes plans for future spending on projects and events.
