Culture Diaries revisited: Wura Natasha Ogunji

Wura Natasha Ogunji works across a variety of mediums, but is best known for her public performance and video pieces. Her themes of interest include how one relates to memory and history, but she also considers the body and how one inhabits and relates to space in it – especially women in public spaces. Her work has been influenced by her experience inhabiting two countries: the U.S.A. and Nigeria. Her work has been featured in exhibitions at the Seattle Art Museum, Brooklyn Art Museum, Menil Collection, and Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Humlebaek, among other venues.
