NU-MRSEC Faculty Hiring Panel

Time: 12:00 pm Central Time
Wednesday, February 23, 2022

The NU-MRSEC is hosting an on-line panel discussion of the faculty hiring process. Our target audience is students and postdocs who are considering applying for faculty positions in materials-related departments in Fall 2022 or 2023. The goals of the panel are to provide an inside look at hiring, reduce perceived barriers to application, and encourage applications, particularly from researchers from historically underrepresented groups.

Those interested in participating can register using the link below to a survey that requests basic information about the candidate and their research area. We want to emphasize that applicants are not expected to have a future research plan. We want to talk with prospective candidates early in the process, especially those who have not yet had the opportunity to be coached.
