Research Experience for U.S. Students in the Netherlands

IRES Program description

nsf_logoThis US-Netherlands international research experience program is funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation (IRES 1460143). US-based graduate students and exceptional undergraduates will be selected to travel to the Netherlands from June–July 2018 to conduct research in Cultural Heritage Science.

The science and engineering students selected will perform research in  three interrelated research streams spanning Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, as well as Cultural Heritage Science. Over the eight week duration of the program, they will participate in interdisciplinary seminars at the interface of science and art and will be required to write two blog entries to share their IRES experience. At the conclusion of their program, participating students will compile final project reports.
