Congratulations to Amy Eckland, who was awarded an Academic Year Undergraduate Research Grant! Amy, who is a freshman in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, wrote her proposal on “Antimicrobial resistance of Staphylococcus aureus in the dust microbiome.” She will be looking at the frequency of resistance to the common antimicrobials triclosan and benzalkonium chloride in cultures of S. aureus isolated from indoor dust. Way to go, Amy!
