Phoebe is a doctoral student in personality and health psychology at Northwestern University working with Dr. Edith Chen and Dr. Greg Miller. She received her B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her research interests broadly focus on the health disparities in socioeconomic status. Within this, she is particularly interested in exploring the role of emotion regulation in the relationship between socioeconomic status, stress, and psychological and physical health.

Makeda is a doctoral student in Personality and Health Psychology at Northwestern University working with Dr. Edith Chen and Dr. Greg Miller. She received a B.S. in biology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her research interests focus on understanding multidimensional patterns of risk and resilience. She is particularly interested in the intersections of race, socioeconomic status, and biological mechanisms in predicting health outcomes through early life to adulthood.
