Adrienne Keene

Adrienne Keene currently is a Presidential Diversity Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown 829C0173-E95F-4483-B72F-D2FE21E8010A_1University in the department of Anthropology and the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America. Her research focuses on college access for Native (American Indian, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian) students and the role of precollege access programs in student success. Since 2010 she has been the author of “Native Appropriations,” (Nativeappropriations.com) a blog which critically examines representations of Native peoples in the media and popular culture and has become a space to explore not only misrepresentations and stereotypes, but also contemporary Native issues and identities.
