We are following a two-pronged approach to improve education:
(i) we contribute to postgraduate education by increasing access to research opportunities, delivering advanced specialized schools and training programs to postgraduate students in the region. COFI will also provide summer research opportunities for undergraduates and high school students to increase the pipeline of graduate students in the region; and
(ii) we are using our connections to institutions working in advancing learning and teaching to develop a program to provide continuing education for high school teachers in STEM areas. The plan is to start the program in Puerto Rico and extend to neighboring nations once fully developed.
