Research Meetings

An important feature of the program over the years has been a monthly meeting of all CMBD trainees for the purpose of presenting and discussing ongoing research. These informal Research in Progress meetings occur during the academic year on the second Thursday of each month, from 5-7 PM, and are informal. The meetings alternate between the two campuses, so they provide an important opportunity for students on one campus to visit the other. At each Research in Progress meeting, two CMBD trainees present their recent research, in a forum that provides them with critical feedback and sparks discussions that often lead to ideas for new approaches and collaborations. Research in Progress presentations are an excellent opportunity to hone presentation skills, to receive valuable input and to facilitate collaborations.
